Holiday Home Decorating Contest 2024

Get ready to light up the neighborhood with holiday cheer! Join our Holiday Home Decorating Contest and let your festive spirit shine bright!  Whether it’s twinkling lights, sparkling ornaments, or a dazzling display, show off your merry masterpiece and spread the joy of the season. Participant homes will also be added to the Paramount Tour of Lights online map for the community to enjoy. Embrace the magic, create memories, and help make our community glow with the holiday spirit!

1st Place – $150 | 2nd Place – $100 | 3rd Place – $50

HOW TO ENTER

• Follow our Instagram page (@paramount_posts) and our Facebook page (City of Paramount)
• Open to City of Paramount single-family home residents ONLY (City employees excluded)
• All homes must show some effort and creativity in order to participate. (subject to the Planning Department)
• Fill out the online application https://form.jotform.com/243166385942161
• You must submit one photo of your fully decorated home by December 10 to be considered for staff review.
• The Top Ten homes selected by staff will be showcased in the community voting period.

RULES

• Entry applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10.
• Homes will be photographed on December 5 and 6  between 5 to 10 p.m.
• Open to single-family homes and they must be accessible to be viewed from the public street.
• Decorations must be free from political messaging, sexual content and violence
• Participants agree to have their address on the City’s website, social media pages, and online map.
• Winners will be determined by a majority vote from our followers received between December 13 through December 17.
• Participants are asked to keep their decorations up through December 26

IMPORTANT DATES – DEADLINE EXTENDED
Deadline for entry: December 10
Homes will be photographed: December 11 and 12 (please have your lights on both days from 5 to 10 p.m.)
Paramount Tour of Lights Map posted online: December 12
Voting begins: December 16 to 19
Winners will be announced: December 20
