Home Improvement Program
The City of Paramount is offering grants to remodel the exterior of owner-occupied detached single-family homes or mobile/manufactured homes. Qualified households may receive partial funding for exterior improvements such as:
- Stucco
- Doors and windows
- Garage doors
- Repair/replace porches & steps
- Exterior paint
- Roof repair or replacement
- Water heater compliance
- Upgrade electrical panel
Eligibility
In order to qualify, property owners must meet the following requirements:
- A home must be owner-occupied and located within the City of Paramount.
- Assistance is limited to single-family homes (one unit per property) and mobile/manufactured homes.
- An applicant’s total household income must fall within the low-to-moderate-income categories as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
- Properties must meet the criteria as determined by the Screening Committee.
- For mobile/manufactured homes:
- Provide a Certificate of Title/Registration card through the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
- Must be on a fixed foundation.

PLEASE NOTE – as of May 2023 there is now a waitlist for mobile homes/manufactured homes. If you are interested in being placed on this waitlist for the Home Improvement Program for mobile home improvements, before you fill out the application, please complete an Interest Questionnaire and submit it to the Planning Department. You can turn it in at City Hall or by email at planning@paramountcity.com.
