Public Art Master Plan
Recognizing the profound impact of artistic expression, Paramount is developing its first-ever Public Art Master Plan (PAMP) to provide a unified vision for the selection, placement, growth, and ongoing management of public art around the City.
A key component of the plan’s development is the highly collaborative outreach campaign, “Your Voice. Our Canvas.” which seeks to elevate community voices during the creative process through a series of hands-on engagement activities. The City invites residents, students, businesses, and the community to participate so that future art pieces reflect the culture, spirit, and integrity of Paramount.
How to Participate
“Knit Arounds” will take place at the following community events, offering each participant the chance to help weave together old t-shirts into an artwork that will be publicly displayed:
- Tepic Sister Cities Dia de los Ninos on Saturday, March 23
- Eco-Friendly Fair on Saturday, April 20
- Friday Night Paramount at All-American Park on Friday, May 24
- The first performance of the Summer Concert Series on Thursday, June 27
*Visit the City Calendar for detailed event information, locations, times, etc.
Donate a t-shirt for the “Knit Arounds”! Bring your used, clean shirts to one of the community events above, or drop them off at City Hall during regular business hours to the Planning Department.
