Parking Enforcement Services

Parking can often cause traffic safety hazards. Please be sure to mind all traffic signs and curb painting that restrict parking or stopping. The signs make our streets safe for everyone to use. Also, please note that there is no commercial parking on public streets in the City of Paramount. If you have a parking enforcement related question or require field response for a parking enforcement matter, please call the Public Safety Department at (562) 220-2002

How do I pay a citation?

You can pay your citation in one of four convenient ways:

1. Online
Payment(s) can be made online at www.citationprocessingcenter.com

2. By phone
Payment(s) can be made by phone at (800) 989-2058

3. In person
Payment(s) can be made in person at the Paramount Sheriff’s Station Monday thru Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily and/or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during holidays

4. By Mail
For payment(s) made by mail, please mail them to the following address:

Payments made by personal check, cashier’s check, or money order must be payable to the “City of Paramount” and must include the citation number on the check for reference. Do not send cash.

How do I contest a citation?

You have the right to contest a parking citation. To contest a parking citation, an appeal request in writing must be made when the citation was issued, including weekends and holidays. The written appeal must be mailed to the following address:

In the written appeal, please include a copy of the parking citation and an explanation of why you believe you did not violate the cited parking law. Feel free to include any evidence you feel is necessary to your appeal. If you do not file an appeal within the 21-day timeframe, you will not be able to challenge the parking citation.
