Capital Improvement Projects
The Public Works Department is involved in managing the planning, programming, design, and construction of capital improvement projects. The Department provides services for all City-owned and operated facilities and infrastructure including streets, sidewalks, parks and other facilities.
What work is included in a Capital Project?
Capital projects include repair, renovation, and/or expansion of existing public right-of-ways such as streets and alleyways, buildings, and community facilities. Amongst many other benefits, these projects help maintain public safety, improve the quality of life through parks and facilities, and support overall community growth and development.
