What is Paramount In Motion?

Paramount in Motion consists of transit program partnerships between the City and various transit agencies to improve local and regional mobility for Paramount residents. Paramount In Motion partners include Fiesta Taxi, GoGo Grandparent, Long Beach Transit and Metro Los Angeles. Click here to view Frequently Asked Questions.

Fiesta Taxi/GoGo Grandparent

The City’s subsidized transit services for residents 55 and older or those who are disabled provides in-town trips as well as out-of-town medical transportation for eligible users.  These programs are for Paramount residents only. The taxi-based and ride-sharing programs include transit anywhere in-town including the Paramount Senior Program, as well as approved out-of-town medical offices within a five-mile radius. Residents need to complete applications for “Paramount In Motion/One Card” for the taxi-based program and/or ride-share-based program (GoGo Grandparent). The taxi-based program participants will now pay a $1 co-pay (cash only) to the driver per one-way trip instead of purchasing trips in advance. No other fees should be paid directly to the driver. If they select GoGo Grandparent they need to set up a payment method for the co-pay for this subsidized transit service.  Applications are available at our Paramount Community Center and Community Services Office.

Please Note:  There will be a fee to replace lost cards.

GoGo Grandparent Brings Easy Access to Ride-Sharing

GoGo_Grandparent_flyer

Paramount is offering the convenience of Uber and Lyft to residents 55 and older or those who are disabled by partnering with an organization that will make accessing ride-sharing easy. We are the first city in Southern California to offer GoGo Grandparent.

  • Hail Uber and Lyft without downloading their apps if you aren’t comfortable arranging ride-sharing directly.
  • Schedule trips by calling 1-855-GOGOUSA (1-855-464-6872) 24/7 or enlisting the help of staff at the Senior Center.
  • You need to register with the City.
  • Co-pay of $1 for each one-way trip (round trip is $2.00).
  • All rides to the Senior Center are free.

This is a great senior-friendly transit service for those who need to get out and about but can’t always do it on their own.
