Pet License
Why do I need a pet license?
California State Law requires all dogs over the age of 4 months to be licensed annually and to have a rabies vaccination valid for the entire licensing period. Failure to license a dog may result in additional penalties or a court citation.
Pet licenses are important because they enable officials to ensure all animals are vaccinated, thereby avoiding dangerous outbreaks of diseases. Having a license also makes it easier to reunite lost animals with their owners.
Where do I get a pet license?
Pet licensing can be obtained through SEAACA. To complete the licensing process, a copy of your pet’s current rabies vaccination certificate is required.
