Trash/Recycling Programs

Got some old furniture or large items that don’t fit in a regular trash bin? Your trash provider, Athens Services, will pick up these items for FREE for all residential locations (4 units or less). Just call Athens at (888)336-6100 or visit Athens and click on “Bulky Items” located on the left, at least 24 hours in advance of your regularly scheduled trash pickup day to schedule a pick up. Then place your items out on the curb no earlier than the day before your regular trash pickup day. Keep in mind, that lumber, concrete, auto parts, paint and used motor oil cannot be picked up with this service.  Commercial and multi-family customers should contact Athens about options for large item pick-ups.

Paramount Municipal Code Sec. 13.20.190 allows for a fee of $50 to be assessed every time a bulky waste item is discarded without proper notice to Athens. In the future, any bulky items discarded on your property without proper notice will result in a $50 fee, per instance, billed to you.
