The City of Paramount provides street sweeping services to all neighborhoods in Paramount. Signs are posted at the entrance of each neighborhood, and as needed to notify you of the date and time street sweeping will occur.
This means if your street sweeping day falls on one of the holidays listed below, your street will be skipped that week and will resume on the regularly scheduled day of the following week.
2025 Street Sweeping Holidays:
- Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
- Wednesday, Dec. 24 – No sweeping, no make up day
- Thursday, Dec. 25 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Friday, Dec. 26 – Normal Friday schedule
2026 Street Sweeping Holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Wednesday, Dec. 31 – Normal Wednesday schedule
- Thursday, Jan. 1 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Friday, Jan. 2 – Normal Friday schedule
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Monday, Jan. 19 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- President’s Day
- Monday, Feb. 16 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Cesar Chavez Day
- Tuesday, Mar. 31 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Memorial Day
- Monday, May 25 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Juneteenth
- Friday, June 19 – Holiday, no sweeping, no makeup day
- 4th of July
(Sweeping will occur as regularly scheduled on Monday, June 29 – Friday July 3)
- Saturday, Jul. 4 – Holiday, no sweeping scheduled for this day and no service impacts this week.
- Labor Day
- Monday, Sept. 7 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Veterans Day
- Wednesday, Nov. 11 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Thanksgiving & the day after Thanksgiving
- Thursday, Nov. 26 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Friday, Nov. 27 – Holiday, no sweeping, no make up day
- Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
