Starting Monday, June 23, two major improvement projects will begin in Paramount that will require lane closures near medians and left-turn pockets, likely causing traffic delays. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our city!
Project 1: Median Improvements
Crews will begin work on:
- Downey Ave., between Monroe St. and Wilburn St.
- Rosecrans Ave., between Downey Ave and Anderson St.
This project will upgrade 1.2 miles of medians with new landscaping, decorative pavers, and a modern irrigation system—all to beautify our community. Work is expected to be completed by late Fall 2025.
Project 2: Reclaimed Water Line Conversion
We’re converting a water line to a reclaimed water system to help irrigate medians more sustainably. This work will happen on:
- Alondra Blvd., from city limits to Orange Ave.
- Rosecrans Ave., from city limits to Orange Ave.
This effort supports our commitment to water conservation and sustainability. Completion is expected by late Summer 2025.
Expect lane closures and delays near these work zones. Please drive safely and allow extra time for travel.
Thank you for your patience as we continue making Paramount a more beautiful and environmentally responsible place to live!
