As National Park Week (April 19-27) approaches, the City of Paramount invites residents and visitors to celebrate the benefits of outdoor recreation and explore the City’s many public parks and outdoor programs. With 12 community parks and a wide array of recreational opportunities, Paramount is committed to providing safe, accessible spaces that promote wellness, environmental appreciation and community connection.
Paramount’s parks are more than just green spaces — they are vital community hubs designed to support active lifestyles, family engagement and neighborhood pride. From sports facilities and playgrounds to walking trails and splash pads, the City’s parks offer something for everyone.
All-American Park features, a shaded picnic area and updated play equipment, making it ideal for family gatherings and youth sports. Ralph C. Dills Park provides a peaceful setting for walking, jogging and reflection along its tree lined paths. Progress Park offers a dynamic open space for community events and casual recreation, while Orange Splash Pad at Paramount Park is a popular seasonal attraction for children and families during warmer months.

Ensuring the safety, cleanliness and overall appeal of these spaces remains a top priority for the City. Paramount continues to invest in ongoing maintenance, beautification projects and infrastructure improvements to enhance user experience. The City also works closely with public safety officials to ensure that all public spaces remain welcoming and secure for all residents. It is the City’s goal to make these parks a place where our community wants to be.
In addition to its parks, Paramount offers a variety of outdoor programs that encourage healthy living and brings the community together:
- Community Walks help residents stay active while exploring scenic areas with a group of fitness-minded neighbors
- Friday Night Paramount, held the first Friday of each month, features fresh produce, local vendors and live entertainment to promote healthy living and support local businesses.
- Paramount on Wheels brings activity-packed fun to your local parks with games, arts and crafts, sports and more!
- Yoga in the Park invites participants of all skill levels to unwind and stretch in a class every Monday at Paramount Park.
- Paramount High-Intensity Training (PHIT) offers free, high-energy workouts every Wednesday evening and Saturday morning at Paramount Park.
The City of Paramount remains deeply committed to enhancing quality of life for its residents by offering inclusive, safe and engaging outdoor spaces.
