2025: A Year of Progress and Impact

The City of Paramount remained dedicated to providing fiscally responsible services that maintain a vibrant community throughout 2025. The City continued investing in initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and support community well-being, including infrastructure improvements, educational opportunities and expanded community spaces.

Throughout the year, the City has focused on building a more sustainable environment, ensuring public safety and engaging with the community, all while maintaining its financial stability. By leveraging funding opportunities and prioritizing essential services, Paramount continued to deliver concrete results for residents and visitors in 2025.

Some of the key highlights from 2025 include:

· Completed a City-wide Crisis Communications Plan;

· Awarded 59 Paramount Education Partnership scholarships totaling $187,000;

· 700 participants in the Pathfinder program;

· Secured $2 million for Affordable Housing through the 2010A Bond Refunding;

· Hosted 16 Neighborhood Watch Meetings with 267 residents;

· Completed the refurbishment of City Civic Center Fountains and Parking Lot, three home improvement projects, the Well 16 project and highway safety improvements;

· Distributed over 150 fruit trees to residents at the Eco-Friendly Fair.

This year, the City made significant additions to Paramount’s public spaces. The historic Hay Tree property purchase was completed, creating new outdoor recreation opportunities for residents. And, the Dills Park and Community Orchard project now provides green space and access to fresh food for the community.

In 2020, City leaders and staff, with community input, developed Paramount’s first Vision, Mission, Values and Strategic Outcomes. These foundational principles continue to guide the City’s decision-making and are reflected in the many achievements and progress made in 2025. Being a place that is “safe, healthy, and attractive” is so much more than a vision, it is the heartbeat of Paramount’s commitment to its future.
