Festive Moments Await – Paramount Holiday Events

The holiday season is here, and Paramount is already jingling with festive cheer! From twinkling lights to snow-filled fun, there is no better time to celebrate the joy of the season with your community. We are excited to present a series of events that will make this holiday season unforgettable for the whole family.

The holidays officially begin with a new pre-ceremony show called, the Downtown Dazzle on Wednesday, December 4 at 5 p.m. During the Downtown Dazzle, we will light up the streetlights along Paramount Blvd., setting the stage for an evening of festive entertainment. 

The excitement continues leading up to the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6 to 9 p.m. Join us at the intersection of Jackson St. and Paramount Blvd. where holiday characters, live music and photo opportunities will fill the streets with cheer!

All aboard for the Santa Train, running from December 9 to 12, starting at 3 p.m. Each day features a different set of locations, so do not miss the chance to catch Santa and his train as he travels through Paramount. Be sure to visit the City’s event calendar to check the full schedule.

Travel to a snowy wonderland at Santa’s Snowfest on Saturday, December 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paramount Park, 14400 Paramount Blvd. Experience winter activities, festive arts and crafts and the magic of snow right here in Paramount.

Step into the holiday spirit during Shopping Under the Lights with Santa! On Saturday, December 14 from 7 to 10 p.m., the City of Paramount and the Paramount Chamber of Commerce invite you to an evening of festive shopping and holiday fun along Paramount Blvd, from Alondra Blvd. to Jackson St. Enjoy a delightful stroll as local businesses offer exclusive holiday deals, special promotions and a chance to shop under the twinkling lights.

Holiday Closure Notices:

• No street sweeping/make-up December 24, 25, and January 1.
• No trash collection December 25 and January 1. Trash pick-up will resume one day after and be delayed by one day.
• City Hall and City Yard will be closed December 23 to 25 and January 1, 2025.
• The Public Safety Station will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. December 24 to 25 and January 1, 2025.
