Election and Voter Information
The Paramount City Council consists of five members elected to serve four-year terms of office. Each year, the five Councilmembers select one of their own to serve as Mayor. Councilmembers must be registered voters of the City and their four-year terms of office alternate so that either two or three Councilmember seats are open in alternate election years. Click here for City Council meeting information.
The City of Paramount conducts General Municipal Elections to elect members to serve on the City Council in in even-numbered years coinciding with the Statewide Primary Election. The City Clerk is responsible for overseeing the administration of the City’s General Municipal Election and elections are coordinated with the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder/County Clerk’s Office.
