Partner Spotlight: Fair Housing Foundation

Everyone deserves a place to call home, free from discrimination, confusion, or uncertainty. In support of this principle, the City of Paramount is proud to partner with the Fair Housing Foundation (FHF), a nonprofit organization committed to eliminating housing discrimination and ensuring all residents have equal access to safe, fair housing opportunities.

Through this partnership, Paramount residents can access a variety of free services, including educational workshops, counseling, and mediation resources, all designed to help tenants and landlords better understand their rights and responsibilities. Whether facing a lease dispute, possible discrimination, or questions about housing obligations, residents can turn to FHF for confidential, expert guidance.

FHF offers multiple ways for residents to connect, seek support, and get assistance with:

  • Hotline Counseling
  • Walk-in Clinics and Mediation
  • Discrimination Investigations

Residents can call 1-800-446-3247 to speak with a counselor for advice, assistance, or to report potential discrimination.

Free educational workshops are held throughout the year to help community members understand their rights under federal and state fair housing laws. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, such as how to recognize and respond to housing discrimination, manage landlord-tenant disputes, understand best practices for lease agreements, and maintain housing stability.

FHF also has a visible presence at community events, including local resource fairs and expos, where they engage with residents, share multilingual materials, and foster open conversations about fair housing practices.

This partnership is part of Paramount’s broader effort to build an inclusive, well-informed community where everyone, regardless of income, background, or housing status, can access safe and equitable housing.
