The Power of Well-Being in Paramount’s Parks

July is National Parks and Recreation Month, and this year’s theme, “The Power of” Parks and Recreation, celebrates the impact of parks, recreation programs and the teams who make it all possible. Parks and recreation bring communities together, strengthen residents’ well-being and build a more connected community.

In the City of Paramount, parks are more than just a place to play — they are spaces where residents can improve their health, connect with neighbors and enjoy the outdoors. Whether you are looking to take a morning walk, squeeze in a workout or spend time outside with loved ones, the City’s parks offer opportunities for everyone to stay active and reveal the power of well-being.

Several outdoor spaces feature walking paths and outdoor fitness equipment, making it an easy way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine:

  • Enjoy a ¼-mile walking path with outdoor exercise stations at All-American Park.
  • Paramount Park and Progress Park feature a half-mile walking path and exercise stations.
  • Explore a 1.2-mile nature trail, take advantage of exercise stations throughout the park or walk the 0.2-mile track on the south end at Ralph C. Dills Park.
  • Stay active on the quarter-mile rubberized walking track or the decomposed granite walking trail at Salud Park. The park also features outdoor exercise stations and a sand volleyball court for even more ways to get moving.
  • Spane Park offers a quarter-mile walking path.

Parks provide many physical and mental health benefits, from encouraging regular exercise and reducing stress to creating opportunities for social connection and community engagement. Whether you’re walking with friends or challenging yourself at one of the exercise stations, every visit to a Paramount park is a step toward a healthier lifestyle.

This National Parks and Recreation Month, discover the power of our local parks by visiting Paramount’s parks and facilities. Lace up your sneakers and experience firsthand how all parks help build a healthier and more connected Paramount.
