Beautiful Property Awards
The results are in for the City’s home beatification awards, Pride of Paramount. Nominations came from residents for the following categories:
- Beautiful Home Award, with first, second, and third place.
- Model Multi-Unit Building Award.
- Beautiful Business Award.
- Water-wise Award, a home with the best drought-tolerant landscaping.
- Outstanding Landscaping Award
This year we tried something different to select the winners. A professional team of judges that work in real estate, architecture, and landscaping reviewed all submissions and selected stand-out properties. Only the selected homes were shared with the public who then voted to determine this year’s winners.
The winners were announced at the May 14 Paramount City Council meeting.
Each winner received a yard sign and window cling, a $500 gift card to The Home Depot, and City recognition.
Owners of the first-place best home award also received a special flag and will ride on the Santa Train and have preferred seating at the Holiday Tree Lighting.

What does it take to be selected?
Judges selected the most beautiful properties using various criteria, including, but not limited to:
- Neat, clean and well-maintained exterior.
- Landscaping design of front yard and parkway in harmony and balance with property.
- Good use of plant variety, texture, color.
- Attention to detail.
- Overall consistent care of property and landscaping.
